TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT is a faith-based nonprofit organization founded in 2019 in Chicago, Illinois, with a vision to bring hope, healing, and support to individuals and families struggling with alcohol and substance use.
What began as a small, community-driven initiative quickly became a lifeline during the COVID-19 pandemic. As isolation, fear, and uncertainty swept through communities, the need for compassion, guidance, and a faith-centered supportive environment became more urgent than ever. We stepped forward to provide safe spaces, spiritual encouragement, and practical recovery support to those who felt most alone.
Rooted in faith and a commitment to holistic recovery, TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT has grown into a thriving nonprofit dedicated to transformation and renewal.
Since our birth TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT is now growing and offering recovery support throughout the MIDWEST. Guided by spiritual principles and a mission of service, we continue to walk alongside individuals on their journey toward hope, prosperity and lasting recovery.
At TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT, we envision a Midwest where every individual—regardless of age, race, or background—has the knowledge, support, and community they need to live free from the grip of alcohol and substance misuse.
Our vision is rooted in healing, prevention, and the power of second chances. We strive to create a culture of openness and accountability, where conversations are honest, resources are accessible, and recovery is always possible. By renewing lives and restoring hope, we aim to build stronger, healthier communities—one person, one family, one neighborhood at a time.
TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT is committed to preventing alcohol and substance use by promoting awareness, education, and healthy choices for individuals, families, and communities.
We believe in the power of renewal—supporting people at every stage of life with honesty, compassion, and respect. Through inclusive programs and trusted partnerships, we work to create a safer, healthier world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, free from the harms of substance use.
TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT offers flexible outpatient care for individuals facing challenges with alcohol, substance use, and gambling. Our services include individual and group counseling, family support, relapse prevention, and case management.
Designed to meet clients where they are, outpatient care provides structured guidance and recovery tools while allowing participants to maintain work, school, and family responsibilities.
Our Prevention Program is a core initiative of the TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT, designed to reduce risks, promote resilience, and build healthier communities in the face of alcohol and substance use.
Built on the principles of the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP), this program delivers practical, evidence-based education and resources that help individuals make safer choices — while respecting their dignity and meeting them where they
Our CORRECTIONAL & RECOVERY SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION INITIATIVE (CR-SUPI) is a comprehensive program designed to support incarcerated individuals, probationers, and parolees who struggle with alcohol or substance use disorders.
Modeled after the standards of the CERTIFIED CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADDICTION PROFESSIONAL (CCJP) credential, CR-SUPI bridges the gap between correctional systems, recovery services, and community reintegration.
TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT program of COMMUNITY, YOUTH & FAMILY PREVENTION INITIATIVE (CYFPI), works to prevent alcohol, substance use, and problem gambling before they begin.
The program is created in full compliance with the INTERNATIONAL GAMBLING COUNSELORS CERTIFICATION BOARD (IGCCB), ensuring professional standards in gambling prevention.
Our ADDICTION MINISTRY is a supportive, goal-focused process that helps individuals improve their emotional well-being, manage stress, and build resilience.
Unlike therapy, coaching emphasizes practical strategies, personal growth, and actionable steps to overcome challenges such as alcohol or substance use, enabling clients to create healthier habits, stronger coping skills, and lasting positive change through faith based counseling.
TAJUDDIN RENEWAL PROJECT is proudly to announce our partnership with MIDWEST TESTING SOLUTIONS.

“Before I joined the Tajuddin Renewal Project workshops at my un , I thought drinking and using drugs were just a part of the college weekend fun. TRP showed me that my choices today shape my tomorrow. Now, I’m focused on graduating and becoming a therapist. They gave me hope when I didn’t see any.”
“Volunteering with the Tajuddin Renewal Project has been life-changing. I came thinking I’d just give my time, but I gained a family. Seeing lives transformed and hope restored reminds me every day why this work matters.”
“As a mother, I was terrified watching my son slip into alcohol misuse. The Tajuddin Renewal Project not only gave him guidance but gave our family tools to heal together. They reminded us that we weren’t alone and that renewal is possible for everyone.”
“I went to one of their community events just to support a friend, but I walked away with a new perspective on life. Their message about renewal touched my heart. It reminded me that every person deserves grace, healing, and the chance to start fresh.”
“I used to think fighting was the only way to solve problems. The Tajuddin Renewal Project helped me see that substance use and violence were destroying my future. Today, I’m mentoring others to make better choices, because I know peace is stronger than pain.”
“I encountered the Tajuddin Renewal Project while serving time. Their program opened my eyes to the truth about substance use and violence. For the first time, I believed I could rebuild my life. When I walked out, I didn’t just have freedom — I had a second chance.”

Our mission Is to help prevent alcohol and substance use by educating, empowering, and equipping individual, families, and communities with the tools they need to live health, purposeful lives. We believe in renewal, second chances, and building stronger futures free from harms of addiction.
We provide a range of prevention focused services, including community education workshops, peer mentoring, youth outreach, correctional facility programs, and violence prevention initiative. Each service is designed to address the root causes of alcohol and substance use while promoting positive alternatives and long term wellness.
Our programs are open to youth, adults, families and anyone seeking prevention and education. All of our core services are offered free of charge, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to receiving support.
We recognize that alcohol and substance use often contribute to violence, unsafe behaviors, and community instability. Our programs teach conflict resolution, promote healthy coping skills, and raise awareness about the connections between substance use, gambling, and risky behavior. By addressing these issues together, we create safer and stronger communities.
