OUTPATIENT SERVICES

REAL SUPPORT. REAL CARE. REAL RESULTS. REAL SERVICE.

STANDARD OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (OP)


PURPOSE: To provide flexible, ongoing support for individuals struggling with alcohol, drugs, or gambling who require structured care but do not need intensive daily services.


KEY DETAILS:


TARGET POPULATION: Adults and young adults with mild-to-moderate substance use or gambling concerns.


FREQUENCY  & DURATION:


• 1–2 sessions per week

• 60–90 minutes per session

• Program Length: 12–16 weeks (flexible, individualized)


CORE COMPONENTS:


Assessment & Individualized Treatment Planning

• Initial biopsychosocial and gambling assessment

• Personalized goals aligned with harm reduction or abstinence-based recovery.


Individual Counseling

• One-on-one sessions (motivational interviewing, CBT, relapse prevention)


Group Counseling

• Weekly psychoeducational and process groups (topics: coping skills, stress management, triggers, gambling risk awareness)


Family Education/Support

• Monthly family sessions (communication, codependency, relapse warning signs)


Case Management

• Linkage to community services, employment resources, legal aid, peer recovery supports.


Aftercare/Relapse Prevention

• Transition planning with community support groups (AA, NA, SMART Recovery, Gamblers Anonymous)

 INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)


PURPOSE: For individuals with moderate-to-severe substance or gambling use disorders who need more structure than OP, but not inpatient/residential care.


KEY DETAILS:


• Target Population: Adults and young adults with higher risk patterns of substance use, gambling, or co-occurring mental health concerns.


FREQUENCY & DURATION:


• 3–5 sessions per week

• 3–4 hours per session

• Program Length: 8–12 weeks (with option to step down to OP)


CORE COMPONENTS:


Comprehensive Assessment & Individualized Plan

• Psychiatric evaluation, risk screening, substance/gambling severity indexes.


DAILY GROUP THERAPY (CORE OF IOP)


• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, relapse prevention

• Specialized groups: gambling recovery, co-occurring disorders, anger/stress management.


Individual Counseling

• Weekly sessions focused on personal triggers, coping strategies, relapse planning.


Family & Relationship Therapy

• Bi-weekly family counseling to restore family dynamics and support networks.


Psychoeducation Workshops

• Topics: neurobiology of addiction, financial literacy for gambling, medication-assisted treatment (if applicable), holistic wellness (nutrition, exercise, mindfulness)


Peer Recovery Support

• Certified Peer Recovery Specialists co-facilitate groups and mentor clients.


Case Management

• Assistance with housing, job placement, court-mandated services, and community reintegration.


Step-Down & Aftercare

• Transition clients to OP or community-based recovery supports once stabilized.
